The other cryptocurrencies hit new all time highs as well: For example, ethereum rose from $ 8.24 on January 1st to a maximum of $ 217.85 on Thursday, May 25. This is + 2.367% on an annual basis. Digital currencies, similarly to fiat currencies, are used for the exchange of goods and services. However, they have features that make them unique.
