Need to pay for food at the canteen? You can use bitcoin
The Community of Vallagarina in Trentino announced it will use Bitcoin to prepay student meal vouchers: starting from September 2017, 900.000 meal vouchers per year for 11.107 students will be paid in advance using this digital currency.
Thanks to projects like this, Bitcoin is becoming a real alternative currency, and its innovative applications are now being adopted by institutions in Italy.
The Community of Vallagarina is the first public institution in Italy to use this digital currency.
